For the second time, International Archives Day was celebrated in Lebanon June 7-9, 2014. UMAM D&R was among the 17 archival institutions that opened their doors and archival collections to the general public. Held under the auspices of the Modern Heritage Observatory (MoHO) the initiative promoted a greater understanding of Lebanon's past and present.

Over the course of two months, UMAM D&R's exhibition, "Baalbeck Studios at The Hangar," gave visitors an opportunity to view a selection of documents and objects that were among the tons of material rescued from Baalbeck Studios. Since beginning this undertaking in 2010, UMAM D&R has been cleaning and sorting through the wealth of material and published About Baalbeck Studios and other Lebanese Sites of Memory, a catalogue that gives insight into the genesis and demise of the famous audio-visual production hub and some of the individuals connected to it.
