Under the patronage of Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati and on the eve of the 37th anniversary of the outbreak of the civil war, "The Bus Takes the Podium: Voyages in the Memory of Lebanon and Its People" was launched. The ceremony featured representatives from the United Nations Development Programme, the European Union, and the prime minister's event envoy, Minister of Foreign Affairs Adnan Mansour.

Guests had the chance to visit the original Ain el Rummanneh bus that triggered the civil war as well as the new bus being unveiled by UMAM D&R. The replica bus was outfitted with laptops, scanners, and audio-visual equipment and press clippings, documents, and archives from the civil war.

This event was part of the The Bus Takes The Podium… Voyages into the Memory of Lebanon and Its People initiative and made possible thanks to the partnership with UNDP Lebanon and the funding from the European Union.
